Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs shrimp peeled & deveined, tail on or off
- 2-3 tbsp chopped cilantro
- lime wedges for plating
- wooden skewers soaked
Marinade
- 2/3 cup plain yogurt
- 1 tbsp pressed garlic
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- 1 tsp coriander
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1/4 tsp cayenne, less or more to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt or to taste
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients of the marinade in a bowl. Stir to combine well. Add the shrimp and marinate for around 30 minutes.
- Thread the shrimp onto the skewers and grill on both sides, until they are cooked and slightly charred on the surface, about 3 minutes a side.
- Remove from the grill, garnish with chopped cilantro and serve immediately with lime wedge.
Notes
Serve with basmati rice or naan.
