Baked Stuffed Shrimp


  • 16 large peeled and deveined shrimp, split
  • 1 small onion
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • pinch thyme, basil, paprika, black pepper
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 6 oz Maine crabmeat
  • melted butter or sherry
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley


  • Saute minced onion in butter until golden; add spices and blend with breadcrumbs, egg, and crabmeat; moisten with butter or sherry. Divide stuffing onto split open shrimp which have been placed on an oiled baking dish. Sprinkle with parsley and bake at 325 for 20 minutes.
