Grilled Tandoori Shrimp

Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs shrimp peeled & deveined, tail on or off
  • 2-3 tbsp chopped cilantro
  • lime wedges for plating
  • wooden skewers soaked

Marinade

  • 2/3 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tbsp pressed garlic
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne, less or more to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt or to taste

Instructions

  • Mix all the ingredients of the marinade in a bowl. Stir to combine well. Add the shrimp and marinate for around 30 minutes.
  • Thread the shrimp onto the skewers and grill on both sides, until they are cooked and slightly charred on the surface, about 3 minutes a side.
  • Remove from the grill, garnish with chopped cilantro and serve immediately with lime wedge.

Notes

Serve with basmati rice or naan.
