Servings: 2
Ingredients
- 1 medium whole flounder, scaled and gutted you can take off head and tail and fins if you prefer
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 large garlic clove, minced
- salt & pepper, to taste
- 2 tsp your favorite seasoning blend
Instructions
- Heat broiler on high. Rack should be about 8-10 inches from the heat. Place fish on baking pan lined with aluminum foil (this will save you clean up and you can retain the juices).
- Rub salt and pepper all over the top, bottom and cavity of the fish. Score the fish going diagonal and then the opposite again on the dark side (the top), it should look like the picture. Squeeze the juice of half of the lemon onto the cuts.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan, add garlic, sauté until fragrant. Add the seasoning of your choice. Harbor Fish Market's SoFishticated seasoning is a great choice!
- Spoon the butter, garlic and spices onto the fish.
- Broil for 4 minutes, pull out and brush the fish with the juices. Check again in about 2 minutes. It should be done. You can see the whiteness of the fish through the scoring.
Notes
If you want to try to take the fish off the bone, you can Google it! Otherwise enjoy scooping the meat directly off the fish with a fork! Enjoy!
