What to do for Dad on his special day this year? You all got together and got him that great grill last year…so being a bit selfish here, but let’s talk Mom into making salads and dessert and we will pick up the surf and turf! Some nice juicy steaks from the local butcher and a trip to Harbor Fish Market should do the trick.
The first Father’s Day was in Washington State back in 1910, but it wasn’t until 58 years later that a day honoring Dad was made official. The third Sunday in June is the perfect time of year to test out the ‘skills of the grill’ and Dad takes a lot of pride in his perfect steak.
Harbor Fish Market has all the ‘surf’ you could wish for…but here are a few suggestions: You could start by introducing Dad to Harbor Fish Market’s own All Purpose Blend SoFISHticated Seasoning, perfect as a fish or steak rub. Maine Lobsters, always the King of Surf, are ready to be bagged up with seaweed and taken home. Lobsters arrive daily here at HFM, as long as it’s fishing weather. Check out our King Crab Legs in the freezer section. Already cooked, ready to thaw and throw on the grill for a couple minutes to warm them up, perfect with a seasoned steak. We have Casco Bay Butter here for dipping, as well as cocktail sauces to slather on our many Shrimp choices. Now, if you are thinking more Surf & Surf, how about one of our steaks? Tuna, Sword, or Halibut…yes! we have those in our fish cases, freshly filleted by our expert production staff. Harbor Fish Market has all you need to make the day super-special for a super-man!
We salute you, Dear Old Dad…sit back and enjoy your day!
