In 1973, in a little shoebox storefront in the North End of Boston, Paul Freddurra established ‘The Daily Catch’, where a box of fried calamari was going for $3.50. Paul had discovered the perfect niche in the seafood business, promoting squid. In 1983, he married Maria Lombardo and after years of hard work, and seven sons later, the family now owns four restaurants and a seafood processing/food production facility.

What this means for Harbor Fish Market is a chance to provide our customers with perfectly prepared
calamari products. First, calamari salad, a staple for squid loving foodies, is loaded with squid rings and tentacles. Here’s something I bet you have never tried…calamari meatballs! Absolutely delicious and made the old fashioned way, frozen and ready to heat and serve, they are perfect just thrown into a pot of simmering sauce. (at a recent Harbor Fish “Fry Day” sampling, they were a huge hit!) And lastly, we have a puttanesca butter that is crazy good stirred into fresh pasta, or spread on a warm Italian loaf.

Come on down to Custom House Wharf to try these new products or pick up some lobsters and fresh fish fillets for dinner. Ask us your most pressing fish questions, Harbor Fish has the answers …because we know fish, since 1966.
