Happy Labor Day to all of America’s workers! We at Harbor Fish Market appreciate all our hard working staff, especially in the difficult times we have all experienced during this pandemic.
Our state has a long history celebrating the Maine worker. After much unrest in the workplace due to low wages and dangerous working conditions, Maine was way ahead of the game. Three thousand people enjoyed a day of rest and recreation on Peak’s Island in August of 1886. In 1894, Grover Cleveland signed the bill making it a federal holiday. Let us celebrate and enjoy the last of the beautiful summer weather in Maine.
And how Maine people celebrate the end of summer is with the grill going, a table laden with Maine lobsters & clams, salads & desserts and family & friends on the deck with an ice cold Moxie in their hands!
You will find Maine lobsters, clams, mussels, oysters and plenty of fish steaks for the grill in our market, come on down the wharf and pick up what you need!
Need recipes? You know we have plenty of those right on harborfish.com/recipes.
