Specifics On Quality: Mild in flavor, somewhat sweet, white flesh

Culinary: Whole fish - baked, poached or roasted with the skin on. Fillets - grilled, broiled, sautéed or baked.
Characteristic: Farm raised Hybrid Stripe Bass is mostly done in hatcheries found in the southern parts of the United States. It has become a very viable business and production has been on the increase. By fertilizing the eggs of a White Bass (Morone chrysops) with sperm from a Striped Bass (Morone saxatilis) the Hybrid Stripe Bass is produced. You can always tell the hybrid by the pattern of broken horizontal lines that run along the sides of the fish. One thing is for sure this cross produces a great fish for eating.
