Oyster - Rome Point


product Harvest Location: Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island
Grow Out Method: Grown from seed, in a force feed nursery system.  When they reach an inch to an inch and a half in size they are moved to the grow out area.  It takes approximately 2 to 3 years to reach market size.
Flavor & Appearance:  Rome Point oysters are power washed before market which produces a pearly clean looking shell.  Medium is size with a smooth plump meat, they are mild and salty in flavor with the signature seaweed finish Narragansett Bay is known for.
