Grow Out Method - Glidden Point Oysters TM grown from selective seed stock bred to be well adapted to cold water growing.  Glidden Point is a family run and operated farm.  Their approach to their business is totally eco friendly.  They do things the hard way, in the sense that they avoid using machinery whenever possible.  Their harvest methods vary depending on the type and location of the bed they are harvesting from.  They also do no use any sort of feed, fertilizer, antibiotics, circulators or enhancements of any kind.  The Damariscotta River estuary is recognized as one of the cleanest in the Northeast.  The estuary gets flushed twice a day by strong tides, which brings plenty of natural feed for their oysters.  The river is constantly monitored for its pristine water quality.
Appearance & Flavor - There is no mistaking the Glidden Point Oyster TM they are known for their culinary excellence and visual appeal.  The oyster itself is exquisite, deep cup, plump, firm meat with a briny sweet finish.
